NetSim Lite is a limited feature free version intended for academic institutions and students.
- Covers Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), Ethernet, TCP, IP, Routing - RIP & OSPF, Switching, Queuing, RF propagation, VLAN, ACL, and NAT.
- Comes with 25+ in-built experiments.
- The maximum number of end nodes is limited to 25.
NetSim Lite supports the following libraries: C1 - Internetworks and C3 - Routing and Switching. See Technology Libraries for information on the various libraries supported in Pro, Standard and Academic versions. All other features in NetSim Lite are similar to those in NetSim Academic.

- Windows 10/11 (English version).

- Monitor: Resolution -1366*768 min to 1920*1028 max. Optimal Scale and Layout Setting - 100%
- 8GB RAM or above
- Occasionally some Anti Virus software may mark NetSim as malicious or may delete the executable file. We believe it is a false-positive. You may report the same to us and we will write to the appropriate AV vendor. In accordance with your internal policy, you may turn off the Anti Virus when installing NetSim and please see the following links on how NetSim can be added as an exception:
- Internet connectivity is required for license validation. Ensure your firewall doesn't block ports 5053 and 5258.
- We do not collect user information apart from that used by our license manager RLM (Reprise Software) for license validation.
